My name is Brandon Daggerhart and I am a Designer, Developer, Musician, Gamer, and Geek.My first experience in building websites came in 2003, when my (very serious) Neverwinter Nights gaming group needed a guild website. I had no idea that I had begun a journey that would have countless friends and acquaintances asking me for free work for the rest of my life. Since that time, I have focused my skillsets – for the last 6 years, I have worked primarily in content management systems, with Drupal and WordPress being my weapons of choice for development. I also have extensive experience in graphic design and logo design. I occasionally available as a freelance designer and consultant. Some of my portfolio is available here.
Music has always been a passion of mine, dating back as long as I can remember. My love of music began in the early 80’s when I began taking piano and drum lessons. After attending school at UNC Greensboro to study piano performance and physics, I joined the local music scene, playing with various groups in Winston-Salem, Greensboro, and the Triad.
I write original rock music on the piano, and play drums or piano in multiple ensembles throughout the Triad. Most of my piano playing through my formative years was in the classical genre, providing me with a background in theory and technique which has given me the tools to teach lessons, accompany other musicians, and perform in front of audiences.
When time allows, I do some gaming as well, both computer and tabletop. I have been playing Dungeons & Dragons since I was six, and that hobby has made me some of my closest friends. For computer games, I am very rarely playing the latest, greatest thing – rather, I like to find favorite games that I do not tire of, and can continue playing pretty much forever (Diablo 2, Baldur’s Gate).
Finally, I like to write. Most of what I write ends up in my blog, which tend to be about my various geeky hobbies, in particular D&D theorycrafting, campaign building, and fantasy/sci-fi literature analyzing. I also write some fiction, but very rarely release that.
